What PPA deals with:
- Life skill training, develop to cope with peer pressure, sex education, drugs abuses, media education, developing rational thinking.
For whom it is:
- Adolescents- who are happy group of high school and intermediate students filled with energy struggling painful tug of war loaded with mixed messages and conflicting demands from parents, teachers, employers, friends and oneself, and negotiating a path between independence and reliance on others. And for those people who are not in their teens but issues of teens keep haunting them as they have not got it addressed on time.
The method used by the MWZ in this program is a blend of discussion, analysis, simulation games, role play, experiential and interactive exercises. The approach differs from case to case soothing everyone's requirements as personal attention is given to each individual. Facts are presented to the invitee (parents involved if child is less than 14 years) unknown to them in dealing with the situation present. The program is for three sessions and each session takes place in consecutive weeks.
If not handled properly some disorders can take place:
- Pervasive development disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disability, mental retardation, mood disorder, depressive and anxiety disorder, drug dependency and delinquency (conduct disorder).
